My goals:
The purpose of this portfolio is to show the work that I have completed in my IDT 3600 class at University of Memphis Lambuth Campus.
About me:
My name is Mary Elizabeth Williams, and I am a current student at the University of Memphis Lambuth Campus. I am a sophomore in the Teaching All Learners program. I have a lot of experience working with children. I have been a substitute and Alamo City School, and I am currently employed with Jackson Madison County School system as an ABA therapist assistant. I love to work with children and I can not wait to have my own classroom.
Experience with technology:
I have a lot of experience working with technology. While I was a substitute at Alamo City, I taught a class where the children completed all of their classwork on an iPad. I loved the idea that the children had to use and be comfortable using technology in the classroom. Another time I used technology was for one of my classes that I conducted field experiences hours in. The children used the smart boards to show examples in class and how they worked out problems. While taking this class, I have learned many new ways to use technology in the classroom. All of the websites have been bookmarked so that I can reference them in the future. I am so excited to have the chance to use so many of the techniques I have learned while in this class in my own classroom! I think that all schools should introduce the use to technology to their students.
